What is a CMS?

"An online CMS (Content Management System) allows website owners to publish structured and meaningful content on their website. It requires no technical knowledge to operate and no software installation; just a web browser. A good CMS has a long life, is robust and flexible, permitting design changes, new functionality and services to be added seamlessly, without additional expenditure."

Golf CMS is all of these things, but 100% dedicated to Golf Club and Golf Organisation websites. And because our customers have similar objectives but are not competing with eachother, through community and discussion those features and services that most benefit customers and their end users are made available.

An example of just a few content services:

Provide up to date news and information by web, email (or SMS text message), improving marketing and increasing participation, support and attendance.
Manage your Event Diary. Filter events by user group and link into reports and results.
Set sections and pages to be viewable by any user group (e.g. Members Only)

And some golf specific services:

Event entry forms filled in online and payment taken securely into your own account
Notification by email or SMS of important dates, closing dates, course closure, etc
Newsletter emails to any definable user-group (members, subscribers, ladies, comittee etc)
Taking green fee bookings online
Team captains able to send/receive messages to/from players (email or SMS) when selecting teams

Some customers already have websites they are happy with, but use Golf CMS modules plugged into their existing site.
